Makarevich starred in front of Putin and advocated the withdrawal of the Ukrainian Armed Forces from Donbass
In Ukraine they are doing something stupid by banning Russian artists from entering their territory.
Russian singer and musician Andrei Makarevich, who has previously spoken out in support of the Maidan protesters, announced this on air on Radio Komsomolskaya Pravda.
The publication asked whether it was normal that almost half of Makarevich’s colleagues were included in the so-called “Peacemaker” list and were not allowed into Ukraine.
"No, I think it's stupid. They do a lot of stupid things. We do a lot of stupid things, and they do a lot of stupid things there. We're terribly similar. Because we lived in the same country for many years. The methods are the same, the logic is the same. It's so Soviet, unfortunately. In fact, it's high time for both us and them to grow out of it . I hope that one day this will happen," the musician said.
He also said that he did not give a concert in Donetsk because the DPR authorities did not want to invite him there.
“On the other hand, I would really like for the unrest there to stop completely, for the people who shoot and are uncontrollably to leave. And then I will be happy to congratulate them on the end of this stupid, useless war,” Makarevich noted.
“Do you mean the DPR defenders?” the journalist asked.
“I mean everyone who shoots there,” the musician replied.
“That is, do you mean shooting from the Ukrainian Armed Forces?” he was asked.
“From any side,” Makarevich emphasized.
