The corresponding announcement at the Rada meeting was made by Deputy Speaker of Parliament Oksana Syroid.

“Sergei Petrovich was expelled from the Oleg Lyashko Radical Party faction for actions that discredit the people’s deputy,” Syroid said.

As PolitNavigator reported, earlier fighters of the Aidar battalion held pickets at the Ministry of Defense in protest against the disbandment. The picket quickly escalated into clashes, during which tires were set on fire. In his speeches, Melnichuk spoke harshly to the Ministry of Defense, the government and the president.

It should be noted that yesterday the commander of the Aidar battalion called on Petro Poroshenko to hold direct negotiations with the leadership of the DPR and LPR.
