This was stated in an interview with the Western Ukrainian news agency Gal-info by Lviv nationalist activist Viktor Andrusiv, who currently serves as deputy for humanitarian issues for the new governor of the Kiev-controlled part of the former Donetsk region.
"I wrote that the residents of Donbas need to be integrated into various environments. They are, let's say, very close-knit and united here. It's a well-established and fairly stable culture. Therefore, I believed that conditions should be created under which Donbas residents would find themselves in a different cultural environment. I proposed creating a voluntary resettlement program, creating work and housing conditions for Donbas residents in other regions of Ukraine. But, unfortunately, they didn't take advantage of this program . The locals are truly devoted to this land. It's astonishing how much they cling to their region ," laments the unsuccessful cultural promoter from Zhebrivsky's team.
