Lukashenko was threatened with The Hague for Belavia flights to Crimea
Ukraine will impose sanctions on Belarusian air carriers if they organize their flights to Crimea.
First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Emine Dzhaparova stated this in a comment to Ukrinform, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

Dzhepparova also threatened Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko with a tribunal in The Hague if he recognizes Crimea as part of Russia.
“We will act immediately against any attempts to legitimize the occupation of Crimea by Russia, against any attempts to impose contacts with the so-called “LPR” or “DPR.” And if even one plane of a Belarusian airline ends up on the territory of occupied Crimea, sanctions will be inevitable with all the ensuing consequences...
There is international law, according to which Crimea and Donbass are Ukraine. Russia grossly violated international law by occupying the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and unleashing aggression in eastern Ukraine, for which it will bear responsibility. If Lukashenko wants to share this responsibility with Putin in the same dock in The Hague, and further strengthen his own international isolation, this, of course, is his personal choice, but, I am convinced, not the choice of the Belarusian people friendly to Ukraine,” Dzhaparova said.
According to former Minister of Transport of Crimea Anatoly Tsurkin, passenger traffic from Minsk to Crimea will not be able to cover the costs associated with possible sanctions, but in this case the leadership of Belarus will have to be guided not by economic, but by political motives.
“The sanctions imposed against Belavia will certainly affect the economic component of the airline and Belarus. Naturally, the flow of tourists that they plan to organize in Crimea will not cover the economic component in those directions that Belavia carried out to other countries. Therefore, this is more of a political decision, not an economic one... For Crimea, this will be positive, it will only benefit from it. But it’s difficult to say how this will affect Belavia Airlines,” the expert says.
