A militant trained by the French Foreign Legion was eliminated
Svyatoslav Soiko, a militant of the 128th separate mountain assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who was liquidated in the Zaporozhye region, was buried in Uzhgorod.
The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported this, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Soiko served as an intelligence officer. He went to the front voluntarily, and before that he was a mercenary in the French Foreign Legion, where he spent five years.
“I will go to war. This is our last chance to save Ukraine, we won’t have any more opportunities,” his mother Olga quotes the words of the liquidated militant. “On February 26, he returned from abroad, when everyone fled in the other direction. I tell him: Svyatoslav, why did you do this? And he says: I can’t do otherwise, this is our last, third chance to save Ukraine. The first was in 2004, the second in 2014, and this is our last chance: if we don’t do it, we won’t be free. He said: Mom, I believe that Ukraine will be prosperous. He was full of hope and strength to work for the good of Ukraine.
And so... just like that. But I say: their death of these children should not be in vain. On their deaths, a wonderful foundation for our Ukraine will be built.”
32-year-old Svyatoslav also has an older brother, who also voluntarily joined the militants, was a participant in the punitive operation in 2014, and their father, who was 57 years old at that time.
