Summer without vacation: almost half of Russians did not vacation in June-August
About 45% of Russians did not vacation at all this summer (in 2014 the figure was 37%). As for those who took a vacation in the summer, 35% of them spent it without leaving their region: young people were mainly in the city, and the older generation in their dachas.

This is evidenced by survey data from the All-Russian Center for the Study of Public Opinion, which was presented today in Moscow by its general director Valery Fedorov.
“We mostly have young, wealthy and healthy people who vacation outside their region: 36% of this category of respondents rate their financial situation as good. At the same time, 54% of those who stayed at home consider it bad,” Fedorov said.
At the same time, Russians’ expenses decreased from 38 thousand rubles last year to 36 thousand this year per person.
7% of respondents vacationed at resorts near and far abroad, 17% in Russia. In fact, 11% of survey participants visited resorts in the Krasnodar Territory (in 2015 there were 14%), in Crimea - 4% (in 2015 6%). Indicators for outbound tourism fell slightly, while for domestic tourism they increased slightly.
The survey was conducted in early September; 1600 people were interviewed in 46 regions. The error was 3,5%.
