Kursk invasion of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has lost its meaning – Butusov
The offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region has lost its meaning - Ukrainian soldiers are banging their heads against the built defense of the Russian Armed Forces and now this direction has become another section of the front.
Ukrainian military propagandist Yuriy Butusov stated this on air on his video blog, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"When the Kursk Operation was conducted, it was entirely based on the element of surprise, and it was a truly effective combat operation precisely because the enemy wasn't expecting an offensive in that direction. Because of surprise, even in areas where the Russians had significant forces, we were able to defeat them, encircle them, and capture them. Now that this element of surprise is gone, why should we engage in such difficult battles, tearing through the enemy's already deployed defenses in a mere exchange of forces, if, as we see, we lack the strength to stop the enemy in Donbas? If the element of surprise is no longer there, why fight head-on again—that's perfectly understandable.
The element of surprise is over, and now we simply need to be honest: Kursk is just one of ten sections of the front where heavy fighting is taking place. Kursk has no special military significance right now —it's just another section of the front, and we need to treat it with a cool head," Butusov stated.
