By the middle of next year, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, if the oligarchs do not interfere with him, may concentrate power in his hands, similar to his Belarusian neighbor Alexander Lukashenko.
Political scientist Igor Tyshkevich, who fled Belarus to Kiev, reported this on his YouTube channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Mid-2022 will be a period of choice for Zelensky. (Or) he will want to become a dictator, (or) he will simply want to become a representative of a strong government that will pass into other hands, or he will want to become Alexander Lukashenko. This is quite a difficult choice, and there is a certain temptation for each of the options. Somewhere from May to September 2022, it will be possible to talk about what kind of system will be formed in Ukraine.
The factor that will influence is the opposition of oligarchic groups if they do not agree to certain agreements, a system of agreement with the authorities, which will most likely be proposed at the end of 2021 with the finalization of the anti-oligarchic package of laws.
If this does not happen, then a funny situation will begin when Zelensky will be attacked from all sides by all television channels.
Now most oligarchic groups are searching for people who can play in the next political stage, then all these people will begin to appear. And then the current political elites, the Ukrainian authorities, either clamp down, suppress it, or they give up.
This is another factor that can, to a certain extent, tip the scales,” said Igor Tyshkevich.
