Thus, according to Vitalina Dzoz, after the referendum she did not see legitimate power in Crimea and helped solve the problems of her voters in Ukraine.

“I was among the voters during the referendum, I saw the mood of the people, their emotions, their civic position. She really was festive. But I understood that this was the civil position of people, and not the election of a legitimate government. This is why I personally did not submit an application to resign immediately after the referendum. Because between the referendum and the elections there was a period of time when voters came to me with many questions that needed to be resolved as a people’s deputy of Ukraine,” Dzoz said.

However, according to Oleg Paraskiv, the people’s deputies failed to establish communication between Kiev and Crimea: “We did not have the right to write a statement earlier for one simple reason - there had to be a bridge, an attempt to find mutual understanding between Ukraine and Crimea. Unfortunately, this attempt was unsuccessful for us - they heard us very poorly.”

And even before the annexation of Crimea to Russia, people’s deputies from the republic, as Valentina Lyutikova assures, were at the Anti-Maidan and defended the rights of Russian-speaking citizens:

“When the referendum was held on March 16, we initially refused to show up in the Verkhovna Rada. We stood at the Anti-Maidan, fought against the one where we were forbidden to speak Russian, forced to submit to Shukhevych and Bandera and other monuments.”

At the same time, some deputies wrote statements about resigning their parliamentary powers for the second time.

“I am re-submitting my resignation as a deputy. The first time they didn’t hear me and didn’t look at me,” said Grigory Gruba.

Let us remind you that in addition to the listed ex-people's deputies of the Verkhovna Rada from Crimea, Sergei Braiko also resigned today.
