Crimean doctors save lives in Donbass
Crimean medics continue to save the lives of residents and defenders of Donbas. Doctors and nurses spend all their time in operating rooms and even celebrate their birthdays with scalpels in hand, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Thus, Crimean neurosurgeon Konstantin Semkin had the opportunity to operate on a patient with a mine-explosive penetrating wound to the head. The patient is already conscious, his life is not in danger.
Traumatologist from Simferopol Pavel Fedulichev had to perform three operations on his birthday. Together with an anesthesiologist from Sudak, Andrei Gnutov, they were extracting shrapnel from the body of a woman who was injured during a mortar attack on the villages of Novomikhailovka and Pavlovka in the DPR.
“Rita was at home with her family when an Ukrainian Armed Forces shell flew into her house. The load-bearing wall fell directly on the woman, the Crimean Ministry of Information shared details. “The neighbors called an ambulance, Rita was taken to the Dokuchaevsk hospital, her husband is in serious condition in one of the hospitals in Donetsk.”
The victim was in the ward after the operation. The patient's condition was stable.
In total, 30 specialists went from Crimea to help Donbass doctors: surgeons, orthopedists, anesthesiologists, therapists, paramedics and nurses. Registration is already underway for those who are ready to go to the combat zone.
