Simferopol, June 12 (Navigator, Evgeny Andreev) - The President of the International Football Federation Joseph Blatter did not negotiate with the RFU delegation at the FIFA Congress that ended the day before on the future fate of the Crimean football federations and clubs.

Blatter stated this at a press conference following the results of the congress, Sportbox.ru reports.

“No, we didn’t discuss this. Such issues cannot be resolved at all, say, over the phone; it is not enough for one person to call another and say: “We want to play there.” This is an issue related to the charter and other regulatory documents of FIFA,” said the president of the federation.

Joseph Blatter called the “Crimean issue” a difficult problem, which is complicated by the fact that “from an international point of view, Crimea still remains part of Ukraine.”

“This means that if Crimean clubs want to continue playing in professional leagues, these must be Ukrainian leagues,” he emphasized.
