Invented by the political strategists of Zelensky’s team, the “Crimean Platform” is another show of the “95th quarter” that will lead nowhere.
Political analyst Dmitry Korneichuk stated this on the NASH TV channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The geniuses of political technology from the president’s office came up with a new series for us, “Quarter 95.” Since everything in Donbass is frozen and is not moving forward, there is no progress and there is nothing to be proud of, society has questions about why nothing is moving forward in Donbass, and they are now diverting attention to another show, the Crimean show.
They don't need results, they need a distraction. We will now be stuffed with the “Crimean platform”. Europeans and Americans are also happy with this; in 2014, they turned aside and helped give Putin Crimea, then they introduced these sanctions. This suits them, but here we offer such an imitation of vigorous activity, and the Europeans do not have to do anything for this, they need to nod their heads and say “yes, yes, “Crimean platform”, yes, yes, yes, Crimea is Ukrainian.”
As a result, they will come to this platform joyfully, nod their heads, and say “yes, of course, we agree, Crimea is Ukraine, we always talk about it. By the way, what are we doing with gas supplies to Europe, Vladimir Vladimirovich?”
This is the cynicism of our Western so-called partners (which we do not have), and the same cynicism of our authorities. The problem is this: it was necessary either to preserve Crimea in 2014, or to understand that Putin would not voluntarily give up Crimea, because for him it is a military base, a strategic one.
And all this is a talking shop without real sanctions. If, for example, sanctions are introduced against Russian gas, Russian oil, that is, something that will hit the Russian budget, and Putin really becomes hysterical, then perhaps something will be said about the issue of Crimea. But all these talking shops at the level of the “Crimean platform” - they sat down, talked, Zelensky promoted himself on this, the West took a steam bath on this, calmed down - and until next year. Next year we will come up with the same idea,” Dmitry Korneychuk summed up indignantly.
