Kravchuk told how he gave the order to shoot at the Russians
The Ukrainian military in Crimea had every right to open fire on the Russians, without waiting for an order from Kyiv, but instead “they spat on them, and they wiped themselves off.”
This was stated by the ex-President of Ukraine Leonid Kravchuk.

“They spat on them, excuse the word, but they wiped it off and said that there was no team and there was no need to defend our land... During my presidency there was such a case. One day, Chief of the General Staff Lopatov calls me and reports that Russian ships have approached some Sevastopol pier and are starting to load property on our territory. What to do? - he asks me. I say, kick me out. So will they shoot? Well, shoot! If a person knew his job well, he wouldn’t even ask me. Because it is his responsibility. The thief needs to be beaten,” Kravchuk said in an interview with the Den newspaper.
“Russia is the enemy of Ukrainian existence,” the ex-president clarified.
“In Crimea, Russian and pro-Russian people sat on top of each other. Of course, they all acted in the interests of the Kremlin. There are such people in the current Verkhovna Rada now!” – warns Kravchuk.
