The Communist Party of the Russian Federation spoke out in defense of Navalny in the State Duma
State Duma deputy from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Yuri Sinelshchikov considers it a legal violation that no criminal case was opened in Russia “in connection with the poisoning” of criminal blogger Alexei Navalny.
He announced this today from the rostrum of the Russian parliament, speaking on behalf of the faction, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“In recent years, materials from citizen Navalny about abuses and corruption at the federal level have appeared on the Internet and other media. Throughout the fall of last year, the Internet and media were filled with information about the attempt on Navalny’s life. In addition to Navalny himself and his associates, the fact of poisoning was reported by the German government, experts from France and Sweden, organizations for the prohibition of chemical weapons and others. Navalny himself, in one of his programs, named the names of intelligence officers whom he considered accomplices in the poisoning.
However, no criminal case has been initiated based on the messages mentioned. Those whom Navalny names as perpetrators of abuses have not been punished. Navalny has not been brought to any form of liability for alleged slander against specific individuals and the president,” Sinelshchikov said.
State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin objected to him.
“It is quite obvious that the intelligence services of other countries are behind this. There was poisoning there, or there wasn’t - no one has yet provided either biological materials or formulas for toxic substances, but they are demanding that a criminal case be opened. You are a professional lawyer and must understand the facts. Navalny should be prosecuted for slander. But it’s impossible to say that they don’t pay attention to him,” Volodin said.
The Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF) defended Navalny in the State Duma.
