Corporations are accelerating the plunder of Russia
The rate of capital outflow from Russia has more than doubled over the past year. This was stated today by Oleg Shein, a deputy from A Just Russia, on the sidelines of the Russian State Duma, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“In 2016, 15 billion US dollars were exported from the country, in 2017 – 30 billion dollars, in the past – about 67 billion dollars. This applies to any large Russian company. For example, the Rosneft corporation has 11 subsidiaries. The Gazprom company sold gas in Ukraine through companies in Switzerland. We find this unacceptable. We believe that Russian big capital should pay taxes here,” Shein said.

He said that his faction had prepared a bill aimed at stopping the export of capital to offshore zones.
“The meaning is very simple. If an enterprise falls under the concept of “strategic,” that is, it employs more than 4 thousand employees, its turnover over the last three years exceeds 5 billion rubles, it must have Russian tax jurisdiction,” Shein said.
