Chinese hackers are infiltrating American government office files.
Former US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice stated this in an interview with the Kyiv magazine “Novoe Vremya”, answering the question of how the state should change its idea of security in order to survive in the digital era.
“The main thing here is to protect yourself. Although our government is far from perfect in this matter. We are confident that our technologies are the best and are protected from hacking, but Chinese hackers are penetrating our files for managing government offices; this has never happened before,” the publication’s interlocutor complained.
She said a strong signal needs to be sent that certain cyberattacks, such as interference in the electoral process or the financial sector, will be considered a low blow.
“This is completely unacceptable. Finally, it's important to remember: authoritarian governments often lie. There is little truth in what Russia says about the events in Donbass, but if it is told repeatedly and in multi-channel ways, we do not always have time to refute such reports. So they can become part of the truth,” Rice says indignantly.

She also admitted that she is working on a new agreement on Donbass.
