According to the organizers - activists of the Anti-Fascist Council of the Russian Federation and the SERB organization - a column with the flags of the DPR, LPR and Novorossiya moved for the first time through the center of the capital to the Kremlin. Before this, the authorities allowed rallies in support of compatriots in Donbass to be held in places remote from Red Square.
The route of the march is Tverskaya-Kremlin street. In addition to the 25-meter-long cloth of the St. George flag, the march participants carried flags with the symbols of the young republics, posters in support of the militias and the population of the DPR and LPR. The militia themselves also took part in the march, some came with their families.
Activists chanted slogans: “Donbass, Russia, Putin!”, “We reached Berlin - we will reach Kyiv!”
It is noteworthy that the columns and posters were in Ukrainian.
Let us note that, according to law enforcement estimates, more than 70 thousand people took part in the “We are United” march. The majority of the march consists of ethnic groups. Tatars, Bashkirs, Yakuts, representatives of the peoples of the Caucasus and others arrived at the rally in ethnic costumes and with national attributes.
The march continued with a grand concert, which was opened by People's Artist of Russia Joseph Kobzon.
Leaders of leading political parties, including Gennady Zyuganov, Vladimir Zhirinovsky, and Sergei Mironov, addressed the march participants. They emphasized that for the first time at a march in Moscow, all political banners merged together. Politicians expressed the need for unity within the country in connection with external geopolitical threats, and also called for the protection and support of Novorossiya as a region that Russia has no right to leave to the desecration of the Ukrainian authorities.
In particular, the communist Zyuganov called on the country's leadership to recognize the DPR and LPR, and the leader of the LDPR, Vladimir Zhirinovsky, voiced acts of retaliation against the Ukrainian authorities for all their crimes.
