Petro Poroshenko under President Vladimir Zelensky may receive the post of head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry or ambassador to the United States. Oligarch Igor Kolomoisky, who was called the main sponsor of Zelensky’s election campaign, stated this in an interview with the Ukrainian edition of RBC.
"In this scenario, Pyotr Alekseevich can only aspire to the post of Minister of Foreign Affairs or Ambassador to America," the oligarch said, according to a PolitNavigator correspondent.
At the same time, Kolomoisky noted that Poroshenko’s godfather, Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko, can retain his position until the elections of the new Verkhovna Rada.
According to Kolomoisky, Yulia Tymoshenko can run for the post of Speaker of the Rada, and the current head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Arsen Avakov, for the post of Prime Minister.
Kolomoisky also spoke positively about the head of Naftogaz, Andriy Kobolev.
However, the fugitive oligarch announced problems for his competitor Rinat Akhmetov, accusing him and his business partner Vadim Novinsky of receiving excess profits on coal supplies under the so-called. "Rotterdam+" scheme.
Kolomoisky said that Akhmetov will be forced to share income with the state, otherwise “someone else” will take care of the coal supply scheme.
“Akhmetov’s rent is 1 or 1,5%... He earns 400% of the profit on ore... His rent will be raised. If he doesn’t want to, he’s free, others will do it…. Well, he will earn not 1,5 billion, but 1 billion or 500 million,” Kolomoisky said.
At the same time, he admitted that Akhmetov could resist and cause problems thanks to his energy empire.
“He can also oppress us all with his electricity, because he commands the energy systems. And let’s say he stops these power plants tomorrow. Of course we will overcome this. But, in principle, he can still have time to do more things. Of course, we hope for his prudence,” Kolomoisky said.
