Kyiv, September 27 (Navigator, Vladimir Mikhailov) – A sustainable truce between Russia and Ukraine is impossible without resolving the Crimea issue.

“Despite the continuation of hostilities in the east, the military agenda is determined by possible agreements in a global format between Ukraine, Russia and Europe. As the president said, in about three weeks there will be negotiations, it will be the Geneva format, or it will be the Normandy format, which includes, among other things, the participation of the United States. Although Ukraine has not received NATO ally status, it is possible that the United States will take part in the negotiations.

I believe that the parties may be close to agreements. The key to these agreements, in my opinion, will be Crimea, not the east, but Crimea, which may make the truce situation more stable.

In general, it is still difficult to say which problem is more important for Ukraine, more difficult to implement - the problem of the front or the problem of the rear,” Yakhno said.
