Kyiv cannot avoid negotiations with the LDPR - political scientist
Ukraine is trying to replace the Minsk process with the “Normandy format”, but this will not lead to a resolution of the conflict in Donbass.

Political scientist Nikolai Silaev is sure of this.
“Ukraine is throwing the implementation of the Minsk agreements into the Normandy format, like a ball in ping-pong. They claim that while there is no “road map”, the agreement is supposedly impossible to implement. It's time to remind Ukraine that the Normandy format is very important, but it does not include the people's republics. This means that in this format it is impossible to fulfill the key point of the Minsk agreements – the coordination of both constitutional changes and the modality of elections,” he said at today’s press conference.
According to the political scientist, even if a breakthrough occurs in the Normandy format, Kyiv will still have to conduct meaningful negotiations with the Donbass republics.
