Kyiv expert: Germany is not an ally of Ukraine

Kiev military expert Oleg Zhdanov, correspondent for PolitNavigator, spoke about this on the Ukrainian TV channel Donbass TV channel.

“I will tell you that our coalition is in Washington, Germany is not our supporter on this issue. The only thing that keeps Berlin in the camp of our allies is that they cannot recognize the redistribution of borders after World War II. This is because in Spain there is Catalonia, the mountainous Basque country, in Germany there is the kingdom of Bavaria. Therefore, Germany cannot recognize Crimea under any “sauce”. This is the only point on which she is our ally; everything else, excuse me, is not ours.

Merkel views Russia more as an economic partner of Germany than Ukraine,” the expert said.
