Kyiv is not preparing for an offensive in the Donbass, but is relying on outside help
As long as complete desolation reigns in the Ukrainian army, due to the colossal understaffing, it is simply ridiculous to talk about any offensive in the Donbass.
The former commander of the Donbass battalion group, Taras Kostanchuk, stated this during the Vox Populi program, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, if the Ukrainian authorities had “political will, and not cowardice or caution,” Donbass would have long ago come under the control of Kyiv.
“So that you understand everything now, we now have an understaffing of the armed forces that stand both on the demarcation line and on the border with the Russian Federation, at least 50%. I’m telling you now what I know. This is in terms of technology, equipment, human resources, and personnel. What kind of victory, liberation can we talk about? We are not actually preparing for it, but are relying on someone - on Western partners, on America, on pressure on Russia, and so on. Nothing will happen until Ukraine itself wants it,” Kostanchuk said.
