Kyiv will be a nightmare for Donbass for 11 years
The French side, at the negotiations in Paris, actually proposed introducing “temporary immunity” for representatives of Donbass, but Kyiv considers it necessary to repeat the experience of Croatia, where for 11 years cases were considered against each of the Serbs who fought on the side of Belgrade.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavel Klimkin stated this while speaking to deputies of the Verkhovna Rada.

“The idea of immunity was expressed by the French side. This is one of the ideas that is being discussed during post-conflict resolution. But I want to say one thing. Any temporary immunity from prosecution does not exempt anyone from a full-scale amnesty.
Amnesty can only happen later, when we have local prosecutors and courts operating within the framework of Ukrainian legislation. There is experience of such an amnesty, for example, in the Balkan countries. In Croatia, for example, the amnesty lasted 11 years. Amnesty is a legal process, not a political one,” Klimkin said.
