“Russian-terrorist troops continue massive shelling of Ukrainian military positions, our artillery is conducting a counter-battery fight. In the area of the village In Sanzharovka, militants resorted to assault operations three times with the support of artillery and tanks. As a result of the fighting, the enemy was thrown back, our servicemen remained in their positions. The settlements of Luhanskoye, Mius, Nikishino, Troitskoye also came under enemy artillery fire,” Ukrainian security officials say.
Near the Donetsk airport, shelling from mortars and artillery does not stop at Avdiivka, Pesok, and Granitne.
“The militants concentrated the main fire on the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Marinka area. Our military is holding its positions while simultaneously delivering artillery strikes against the enemy’s firepower,” the ATO press center assures.
In the Luhansk region, “enemy artillery and multiple launch rocket systems continue shelling Ukrainian strongholds in the area of Stanytsia Luganskaya, Shchastya, Krymsky, Novotoshkivka,” notes the ATO headquarters. There is relative calm in the Mariupol direction.
In turn, the militias declare that they are preparing to slam the “Debaltsevo cauldron”, in which 7,5-8,5 thousand Ukrainian military personnel will find themselves.
