Good comrades-in-arms: Deputies of Poroshenko and Yatsenyuk staged a squabble live
Kyiv, February 03 (PolitNavigator, Maxim Karpenko) – The parties of Petro Poroshenko and Arseniy Yatsenyuk no longer hide tense relations - representatives of the two political forces the day before staged a public skirmish on live TV. Thus, the current leaders of the Maidan demonstrate that they are stepping on the same rake as their predecessors - Viktor Yushchenko and Yulia Tymoshenko.

On Monday evening, at the “Freedom of Speech” talk show, people’s deputy from the “Petro Poroshenko Bloc” Sergei Kaplin got into an altercation with people’s deputy from the “People’s Front” Anton Gerashchenko.
According to Kaplin, the Yatsenyuk government wants to take full control of the media in order to prevent attempts to criticize its actions.
“The plan is this: make three buttons: the first one will lie that the country is fighting corruption. And you and I will never know that, for example, in the Poltava region the head of the tax investigation in Kremenchug was caught taking a bribe. And how much was intended for the head of the region, and how much from there he gives to the head of the ministry that manages tax policy in the country, and how much from there goes to the prime minister of the country. The second button will talk about the ATO and lie that there are no mistakes, that all the soldiers are fed. The third button will lie that we have unprecedented reforms and that the coalition agreement is being implemented,” Kaplin said.
Gerashchenko, in response to accusations of corruption in the power vertical, hinted that it was not Yatsenyuk, but the president, who was responsible for the selection of personnel. “Read the constitution – the head of the region is appointed by the president,” said the deputy.
But Kaplin clarified that the Poltava region is a special case, here Prime Minister Yatsenyuk also had a hand in the appointment of the governor: “Arseniy Petrovich twisted his arms in order to appoint his own person there (in the Poltava region - author). I set a condition - your governor must be there. In my opinion, the country has plunged into absolute corruption. The Yatsenyuk government has broken the corruption records of the Azarov government.”
Kaplin clarified that Yatsenyuk’s interest in the Poltava region is not accidental - there are oil and gas wells there.
Political scientist Valery Dymov, who was present in the studio, tried to calm the tension, recalling that coalition members were repeating the mistakes of the first Maidan: “You shouldn’t step on the same rake that Yushchenko and Tymoshenko stepped on.”
“I am against the idea that you can’t wash dirty linen in public. It is possible and necessary. Otherwise we will suffocate from this garbage. I believe that Yatsenyuk and Turchynov could nip separatism in the bud. But they sold Crimea,” Kaplin snapped.
