Kharkov nationalists cried and are again collecting money for the restoration of the UPA monument
In Kharkov, local residents expressed their negative attitude towards the inculcation of Bandera ideology, once again splashing paint on a previously restored memorial sign to the fallen UPA militants.

“The memorial sign to the fallen soldiers of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army, which was desecrated and cleaned of paint. However, vandals caused new chips to the granite board; it now needs restoration. Therefore, the Public Committee for the restoration of the memorial sign to UPA soldiers in Kharkov calls on concerned citizens to join in the restoration of this iconic landmark. The significance of this monument-symbol for Kharkov residents is very important. After all, just like the ATO soldiers now, the soldiers of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army defended our country from invaders,” the community message says.
It is interesting that even commentators who sympathize with nationalists under this post express opinions about the inappropriateness of fundraising.
“Therefore, until we achieve that the sign has the same attitude of the authorities as, for example, the monument to Chernobyl victims, located two hundred meters away in the same park, which is covered with tiles, planted with flowers, which are watered every morning, then we will annually restore that’s a sign,” says one comment.
Kharkiv nationalists have had their fill of tears and are once again raising money to restore the UPA monument.
