Shooting at residential buildings is a violation of all norms of warfare, it is a crime. Those who do this cannot be called the Ukrainian army.

Former Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov expressed this opinion on his social media page, commenting on the recent shelling of Donetsk.
“On the night of May 2-3, military formations of the Kyiv regime from the Avdeevka region fired heavy guns at the Kyiv district of Donetsk. I can’t help but call these units the Ukrainian army. Heavy guns fired not at the positions of the armed units of the self-proclaimed Donetsk Republic, but at residential buildings and a school located in the depths of the area. People were killed, 20 residential buildings and schools were destroyed,” he wrote.
The Kyiv regime's military deliberately targeted residential areas; this is obvious to OSCE observers in Donbas, says Mykola Azarov.
“I lived and worked in the Kiev region for many years, and when I saw these images on TV, I immediately recognized these places. There are not and cannot be any combat positions there. Modern artillery, taking into account guidance means, cannot make such mistakes. This means that the military of the Kyiv regime deliberately attacked residential areas, deliberately destroyed residential buildings, deliberately killed civilians, children, women, and the elderly. It is quite obvious that they fired from the Avdeevka area. It is this side of the buildings that was hit by shells. But if this is obvious to me, who carefully watched the television footage, then it is absolutely obvious to the OSCE specialists who are on the spot,” writes the ex-prime minister.
Nikolai Azarov is also surprised that the Ukrainian media did not express their outrage at the barbaric shelling.
“Citizens of other states do not live in the Kiev district of Donetsk; citizens of Ukraine live there. This means that Ukrainian military personnel deliberately, on orders, kill the civilian population of Ukraine. And I don’t hear or see any indignation or even any information on TV channels or news sites. Residents of Kyiv, Lvov and other cities of Ukraine are silent. Doesn't this concern you? They kill with guns not some unknown aggressors, but people just like you,” the politician is indignant.
According to Azarov, the population of Ukraine is being bullied by the media supporting the Poroshenko regime.
“The criminal authorities, criminal politicians, criminal media inspire you, zombify you, that some other people, “vatniks”, “Colorados”, “non-humans” live in the Donbass. And therefore they can be killed. Think about it. After all, this is fascism in its purest form,” writes the ex-prime minister.
"The Kyiv regime is the main separatists . It was their actions that led to the loss of Crimea. They started the war in Donbas, and every new shot fired at Donbas makes the process of Ukraine's destruction inevitable," concludes Mykola Azarov.
