Karyakin: Kyiv’s refusal to exchange prisoners is an attempt to hide crimes in SBU prisons
Ukraine’s refusal to exchange prisoners can be regarded as a desire to hide the crimes occurring in Ukrainian prisons against both prisoners of war from the LDPR and political prisoners from the rest of the country.

Former LPR People's Council Speaker Alexey Karyakin expressed this opinion in a comment to PolitNavigator, commenting on yesterday's announcement that Kiev had disrupted the prisoner exchange procedure under the Minsk agreements.
“Once again, Ukraine has shown its inability to negotiate and the incompetence of its leaders, its terrorist essence. Everything that Ukraine does cannot be regarded as the actions of a state that cares about its population. Ukraine today acts only from a position of strength, which is tantamount to terror - the territories of Donbass are shelled, attempts are made to intimidate the civilian population, they refuse to exchange military personnel of the LPR and DPR. We must not forget that at the same time they refuse to accept their soldiers. The Ukrainian delegation is well aware of the conditions of detention of prisoners of war on the territory of Donbass, that neither torture nor abuse is applied to them here, they are treated in full compliance with all international rules and conventions, which cannot be said about Ukraine. It has long been known what they allow themselves to do in the dungeons of the SBU. The refusal to exchange prisoners can be regarded as a concealment of the crimes that are taking place there,” Karyakin told PolitNavigator.
