Karasev announced the end of uncertainty in Donbass
Russia will independently resolve the conflict in Donbass if the elected President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky does not hurry up.
Ukrainian political scientist Vadim Karasev stated this on air on the 112 Ukraine TV channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“This decree (on issuing Russian citizenship to residents of the LDPR - editor's note) was prepared a long time ago. There has long been a very strong lobby in Moscow that has been putting pressure on Putin to recognize these Republics, that nothing will happen with the Minsk agreements, Ukraine is not going to implement them, and in general, this is a big deception for Russia. Therefore, the war has been going on for 5 years, and we need to make some decisions.
We were counting on the presidential elections in Ukraine, that a new government would come, and it would already indicate some decisive steps to implement the Minsk agreements. Judging by what Zelensky says, this is not the case. This means that they already need to somehow decide,” he warns.
According to Karasev, Ukraine and its Western allies greatly miscalculated, relying on the effectiveness of sanctions against the Russian Federation.
“Our previous government and our Western partners relied on the fact that they would strangle Russia with sanctions and force it to be obedient, this is the first thing. It is a policy that "Carthage must be destroyed." We, like the tip of a spear, suppress Russia, and then, on the ruins of the Russian Federation, we return Crimea, Donbass and so on. Collapse the regime from within. And the bet is on re-elections.
On the one hand, we bet that Russia would weaken so much that it would agree to bring in peacekeepers, or some other option, and we would win these territories. And secondly, this is a bet on Poroshenko’s re-election.
Neither one nor the other bet worked. Because sanctions did not strangle Russia. Moreover, they are getting out of dependence on oil, they are solving these problems. They are too big for such sanctions to be applied to them,” laments the Ukrainian expert.
Karasev declared the end of uncertainty in Donbass.
