Karasev predicts suffering and change of elites for the EU
Due to the sanctions war with the Russian Federation and, as a consequence, high gas prices, European industry may stop, while the United States will practically not suffer in this situation.
Political scientist Vadim Karasev stated this on the video blog of Ukrainian TV journalist Alexander Shelest, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“This is a big economic war with different manifestations and specialized battles. Food, will jeopardize the agriculture of Europe, which needs Ukrainian grain. Next comes the electric power industry. Next is gas, and this is all the utilities, all the enterprises of Western Europe.
The Eurometal Association of the European Union spoke. They report that the European metallurgy is experiencing a crisis, and 50% of the production capacity of aluminum, zinc, and so on is completely blocked today. They are standing. And next in line is the entire metallurgy industry, which will hit the entire mechanical engineering industry in Europe. America does not suffer in this situation. It is, above all, Europe that will suffer.
Because gas prices are high. And the Europeans are now actively fighting this, trying to introduce an upper limit on gas; before that, a decision was made on the price of oil. Production will suffer. Europe’s industry will suffer, and these will mean jobs, people’s incomes, and future investments,” the expert said.
“And of course the public utilities sector in Europe, which can provoke social unrest. This could lead to a change of elites, a reformatting of the ruling circles,” Karasev expressed concern.
