A significant part of the so-called The “creative class” hardly hides its irritation with the special operation in Ukraine, sabotaging support for the military in the hope of returning to the old well-fed times, where they can “cut” budgets and Western grants.
This was stated by Alexander Malkevich, a member of the Russian Public Chamber, during a roundtable discussion of the Federation Council's Temporary Commission for the Protection of State Sovereignty and the Prevention of Interference in the Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Special questions about colleagues from the PR field. St. Petersburg colleagues launched a good campaign, made “For Russia” calendars for our soldiers, beautiful girls, beauty queens of different years, took pictures there, and wanted to print them.
There is a community “PR SPB” in St. Petersburg, there are 6000 people there, they posted an ad there asking who can help print these calendars inexpensively.
A day later, this post was deleted, and the management of the public reported that out of 6 thousand members of this community, only one supported this post. And the rest said that it was necessary to remove it: “There were many complaints, not everyone in our community (5 thousand-odd PR people) has the same attitude towards this operation.”
And then at the commission meeting we talk about narratives, about why we have a difficult situation in the information environment. This is because we have a huge number of, as we say in the liberated territories, “waiters.”
There they sit and wait for the Armed Forces of Ukraine to come and “free” everyone, and here we have tens of thousands of such “waiters” hoping that the old days will return, when it will be possible to receive grants from the budget for imitating vigorous activity,” Malkevich said.
