By summer, the Russian army will be ready for a large-scale offensive - Ukrainian officer
So far, Russia does not have enough forces for a large-scale offensive, but everything could change within a few months.
This was stated by a reserve major and participant in the punitive operation against the LPR and DPR, Alexei Getman, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports . His opinion is cited by the anti-Russian propaganda publication Novoye Vremya.

“There was talk that they would make powerful offensive actions in the winter of this year, they named the date January 15. So far, the forces and means that they have are a so-called dead end, which does not make it possible to make significant progress,” Getman said.
At the same time, he says that after the presidential elections in the Russian Federation in March, additional mobilization may be carried out in Russia, which will approximately double the size of the army.
“There is [information] from open sources in the Russian Federation that there will be additional mobilization. They still plan to attract 400 thousand, and then their army in our war will be equal to approximately a million military personnel, plus the equipment that they are now actively producing and even accumulating.
Therefore, it is quite possible that in the summer they will try to make more powerful offensive actions, thanks to the large number of manpower and equipment,” says the major.
According to him, therefore, Ukraine needs to strengthen itself not only with technology, but also with people.
“Half a million people who should be involved in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, this is very important. Otherwise, it is difficult to understand how we will be able to contain the million-strong army of Russians if we do not have mobilization and do not have weapons,” Getman concluded.
