A well-known Ukrainian diplomat admitted that there is no war with Russia in Donbass
What is happening in Donbass today has the character of a non-international military conflict.
Former Foreign Minister Leonid Kozhara stated this on the NewsOne television channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to the diplomat, this is evidenced by numerous international acts.
“We have every reason to say that there is no international armed conflict going on in Ukraine. Civil war - this is what politicians and political scientists say. I, as an international lawyer, say that today all the acts that assess this conflict - both European and UN - indicate that today the official government of Kiev is waging an armed conflict with unofficial formations in eastern Ukraine. Which brings us under the definition of the Geneva Convention on non-international armed conflict,” Kozhara said.
Earlier, fugitive Ukrainian oligarch Igor Kolomoisky declared that the conflict in Donbas is a civil war.
