“Israel made everyone naked” – Prilepin
The participation of fugitive Russian cultural figures in a YouTube marathon in support of Israel devalued their support for Ukraine.
Writer Zakhar Prilepin stated this in an interview with scandalous television journalist Ksenia Sobchak, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“God is not a fraer, everyone has become naked. The pacifism of people, their humanistic passions, suddenly it was revealed what it all really looks like. It was not all about someone feeling sorry for the people of Ukraine. There is one’s own side, which is allowed everything, there is another side, which should not be allowed anything, which should know its place. A person simply chooses his own. They had their own in Kyiv. Kyiv can bomb, burn, destroy, crush with caterpillar tracks - everything is fine, because they are our own,” Prilepin said.
He believes that ordinary Russians who fled mobilization behave similarly.
“So, they went to Israel. They can be called there too. But I don’t hear the choral voices: oh, terrible Israel, I want to live my wonderful life. Or in Ukraine. There are also unhappy people there who are being called up somewhere. Why do they need some kind of Donbass when they live in Zhitomir, Lvov, Odessa. Why am I going to die for Donbass, they would separate it to hell. But we don’t hear these voices there either. I don’t really understand how this wonderful democracy of yours works in all countries except Russia,” Prilepin said.
