Employees are fleeing en masse from Ukrainian regional power companies

Ukrainian oblenergos do not have the money to pay their employees salaries on time, which is why they have to quit.

Deputy Viktor Bondar (Vozrozhdenie) announced this at a meeting of the Conciliation Council of faction leaders and committee chairmen of the Verkhovna Rada, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“We need to resolve the issue of salaries in oblenergos. Today there are colossal debts. Almost 2 thousand people have recently quit at Zaporozhyeoblenergo alone due to the fact that, according to the scheme implemented by NEURC, they must first give money to the energy market. Another month or two, and there will be no workers left at the oblenergo,” Bondar said.
