The Mejlis channel, based in Kyiv, conducted a survey on the streets of the Ukrainian capital: are citizens interested in what is happening in Crimea?
From the above selection of opinions, it's clear that the lost peninsula doesn't particularly worry respondents; they follow it only sparingly —the picture is formed from what's shown on Ukrainian news—which, as a rule, consists of bravura reports about attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces or PR for the actions of the "waiters" who are secretly marking Crimea with yellow and blue.
Two original responses stand out from all the interviews. The first is a Ukrainian-speaking pensioner who declares she cannot forgive Crimea's Slavic majority for welcoming reunification with Russia. The second is a plump, mustachioed man who calls for changing the mood on the peninsula by intensifying missile strikes.
And this is clear evidence of what the never realized threats to punish Ukraine for the attacks on Crimea led to.
