Hysteria in the Rada: We are freezing here, and Europe is helping Putin!
Ukrainians are making sacrifices - freezing in their apartments, just so as not to make concessions to Russia, and at this time a number of European Union countries are declaring support for the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline, lobbied by Moscow, bypassing Ukraine.
The head of the Popular Front faction, Maxim Burbak, stated this at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada.

“Yesterday, from this very podium, I spoke and congratulated everyone on their victory, on the fact that the Stockholm Arbitration side took the side of Naftogaz, and we won the second lawsuit against Gazprom, against the aggressor country. The amount of money that will not be taken from the pockets of Ukrainians and will not go to the aggressor country exceeds $60 billion.
Yesterday, Russia reduced the pressure in the gas pipeline and reduced gas supplies to Ukraine. This is a kind of “response” to that gang from the Kremlin, which is doing everything to freeze Ukraine in these cold days and tighten the gas noose. But we will not give in to this.
Yesterday an official statement from Naftogaz was released, I think that every Ukrainian should support our Motherland so that we all fight together against the aggressor. That is why now we all need to save money and reduce the temperature of our gas boilers by 3-4 degrees for 1-2 days so that we can get through the heating season calmly. We have plenty of gas in storage. We must all stand together against the gas monopolist who uses blue fuel for blackmail.
Once again I appeal to our European colleagues. Some of them support the construction of Nord Stream 2 so much that they are ready to lift sanctions on Russia. I repeat once again that gas for Russia is a weapon and blackmail,” said Burbak.
