The Iranian Navy successfully repelled an attack by the US fleet on an Iranian oil tanker located in the Gulf of Oman.
Political expert Dmitry Dzhangirov stated this on the Capital internet channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“On November 3, the Americans captured one of the tankers. Was he Iranian? According to the flag, no, but the oil there was Iranian. According to first reports, the United States confiscated a tanker carrying Iranian oil and redirected the cargo to an unknown destination. The naval forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps carried out a special operation, landed on the deck, and recaptured the merchant ship.
In response, the Americans sent two destroyers to the showdown, they were surrounded by Iranian boats, then the Americans, with the help of military vessels, tried to blockade the merchant ship, and they also failed. The Iranians took the oil to themselves,” Dzhangirov said.
As a reminder, Moscow previously announced that the United States is creating a multinational force near Russia's borders in the Black Sea and is also studying the theater of probable military operations in the region.
