The hryvnia is falling into the abyss towards the historical mark of 15 UAH per dollar
Kyiv, August 12 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – The Ukrainian currency has been rapidly depreciating since Monday, approaching the historical mark of 15 hryvnia per US dollar.
Today, the National Bank of Ukraine set the official exchange rate at UAH 13,14 per dollar – this is already the lowest level in history. However, at exchange offices the hryvnia is even cheaper - there the dollar is already sold for more than 14 UAH.

As you know, the IMF has not yet made a decision on allocating a new tranche to Ukraine. The situation for Kyiv is softened by the fact that Ukraine does not currently purchase gas from Russia. Traditionally, before paying for fuel, the dollar exchange rate soared, as the state spent reserves on the purchase of foreign currency in order to pay off Moscow.
