The majority of respondents said that they support reunification with the Russian Federation; they feel economic sanctions and economic difficulties, but believe that these are temporary problems that can be survived.
It is noteworthy that Phillips also managed to record guests from Western Ukraine, who said that they were happy with their vacation in Crimea and were not worried about the current affiliation of the peninsula to the Russian Federation - “This was Ukraine before. All yours. “They’re all brothers,” said a man who introduced himself as Sergei.
But among the local residents there was a woman. who began to convince the reporter about the unbearable life in Crimea after the referendum and the outflow of half the population to the mainland. However, she was immediately surrounded by Yalta residents who assured her that Phillips’ interlocutor was not telling the truth. “Don’t listen to them, they are corrupt creatures. Everyone is leaving – life is impossible,” the pro-Woman woman snapped.
