The State Duma adopted a law that will eliminate Sorosism in Russian education
The State Duma of the Russian Federation adopted today in the first reading a bill on educational activities.
Senator Elena Afanasyeva explained the essence of the document, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to her, the law is designed to prevent destructive forces from implementing a wide range of activities in schools and students that are supported from abroad and aimed at discrediting the state policy pursued in Russia and undermining the constitutional order.
“We see with you how foreign states, organizations and individuals are trying to engage in, in essence, political missionary work. They impose other people's values, orders and principles on us. They are very interested in our youth, who are most susceptible to agitation and propaganda. This is a long game - educating elites through foreign grants, foundations, embassies.
At the same time, they do not hide abroad that the ultimate goal of many such educational events is to change the political system of the Russian Federation,” Afanasyeva said.
She clarified that we are talking about activities carried out outside the framework of education. She was supported by Deputy Vyacheslav Nikonov.
“We must understand: when they play tank biathlon with us, you cannot play spillikins. Everything related to education is regulated in our country. We are talking about Sorosism. That there are a large number of educational programs that are implemented with Western money.
We saw what this leads to in Ukraine, when for 20 years we raised people who kill Russians because they speak Russian, while being Russian. This is what can happen if you don't pay attention to it.
Educational exchanges, which are also largely financed from that side, are not universities, but completely different organizations. These contacts are often used to siphon off high-tech information in order to supply funds for anti-Russian programs,” Nikonov added.
