The head of the Greek Catholics forbade parishioners to yearn for Yanukovych
The head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, Svyatoslav Shevchuk, called on his parishioners to abandon the idea that Viktor Yanukovych's life was better, reports the Uniate portal Catholic Observer.

“Today, Ukraine is traveling in the midst of a difficult, deadly desert on its historical path to the fullness of freedom in the promised land of God. And we very often experience similar temptations, as the Israelites once did in the desert. We complain about the Lord God and our guides.
It seems to us that three or four years ago it was better than today. Just as the Israelis believed that slavery in Egypt was better than going to the promised land given to them by God,” the portal quotes Shevchuk’s sermon, which he voiced on Sunday.
Let us note that the other day, speaking at a meeting in the Verkhovna Rada, deputy Yulia Tymoshenko spoke about her visit to Lvov, where local residents told her that life under Viktor Yanukovych was better.
“I have never seen so many tears, curses and hopelessness! For the first time, I heard the demand that if the democratic forces that are in power now are not capable of governing the country, then let them leave and return to the “evil government” that did better for the people,” Tymoshenko said.
The head of the Greek Catholic Church has forbidden parishioners from pining for Yanukovych.
