The corresponding draft resolution was registered in the Verkhovna Rada.
Also, information signs and articles in local newspapers should appear in Ukrainian cities telling about “the exploits of Ukrainian soldiers in the Donbass.”
“General education and higher educational institutions of all types and forms of ownership should equip and systematically update on the territory of their premises information and memorial stands about the Heroes of Ukraine and their exploits during the defense of Ukraine from the armed aggression of the Russian Federation. Local government bodies should ensure that residents of the relevant territories are informed about the Heroes who come from these territories by publishing information about them in official printed publications of local government bodies, as well as by renaming streets and the names of educational institutions in settlements where the Heroes of Ukraine lived/are living in their honor, installation of memorial plaques and memorial signs in their places of residence,” the text of the draft resolution says.
“Such systematic information is the most important, especially for raising children and youth, in the spirit of respect for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The project defines a number of measures that will allow us to properly honor the Ukrainian soldiers who participated in the ATO, as well as increase awareness of the Ukrainian society about the nature of the events in the East of Ukraine,” commented one of the authors of the resolution, Alexander Opanasenko, on the initiative on the social network.
