The heroes of yesterday dream of creating a coalition with Zelensky

In the new convocation of the Verkhovna Rada, it is necessary to create a majority from the party of Vladimir Zelensky and small right-wing pro-Western parties, where there should be no place for Petro Poroshenko with his outdated nationalism and obsession with revenge against Zelensky.

The former deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, field commander of the “Orange Maidan” Taras Stetskiv, already half-forgotten by Ukrainians, stated this on the air of the First Western TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Zelensky is not the Russian world, because he has already stated that he will not create a majority either with Poroshenko or with the Opposition Bloc “For Life,” that is, Zelensky will look for common ground with the Ukrainian forces, whose problem is their dispersion, which we can go to parliamentary elections in five or six columns, which may fail. But if the Ukrainian forces provide a consolidation model, the correct model (and in the case of blocs, this will be possible), find a new leader, and do not torment society with people who have already played their role in Ukrainian politics, then it is entirely possible that those (“Servant of the People” " - ed.) they will take 25 or 30 (percent - ed.), but here it will be 15-20, and now you have a coalition, and everything is fine. Everything is fine, we can continue Ukraine’s movement into NATO, into the EU, and towards reforms for another five years,” Stetskiv said.

At the same time, the ex-people's deputy admitted that he watched all the latest interviews of oligarch Igor Kolomoisky, since there is a serious danger that Zelensky will remain under his influence.
“If we give a political assessment, the essence of Kolomoisky’s statements and interviews is as follows: he imposes himself as a leading figure in Ukrainian politics. He seems to say: “I created it” (Zelensky - ed.), but I didn’t create it, I’m just a fan, I’m a fan club. But in this way he wants to show everyone, and first of all Zelensky himself, who is the boss in the “hut”. And this, I will say, is the second problem of the newly elected president. The first is to hold the helm of governing the country. The second problem is whether he will free himself from Kolomoisky’s influence. If he doesn’t free himself, then there’s no point in starting this,” he noted.

In addition, according to Stetskiv, we should expect trouble from Petro Poroshenko.

“In fact, for modern Ukrainian history, Poroshenko with his idea of ​​revenge against Zelensky is more of a problem than an achievement. In my opinion, it will only complicate the process of consolidation, the process of grouping, for the Ukrainian forces.

At the same time, Poroshenko relied on the classical and traditional Ukrainian idea of ​​the late twentieth century. They won't follow this. We need a renewal of the Ukrainian idea, we need a modern interpretation of the Ukrainian mission, the Ukrainian national idea. People like Poroshenko and that part of the intelligentsia that supported him both in the first and second circle, with all due respect, are unable to formulate this,” said Taras Stetskiv.
