The Lend-Lease program for Ukraine, approved by the United States the day before, is a serious bid to prolong military operations. In this situation, Russia has no choice but to complete the complete defeat of the Kyiv regime.
Retired Lieutenant General of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service Leonid Reshetnikov stated this in a comment to PolitNavigator.
According to the expert, otherwise Russia may lose its status even as a regional power, which is what the United States is striving for.
“The situation is serious, the Americans have decided that their main task is to weaken Russia to such an extent that it ceases to play a role even in the region. By making such statements, they really intend to fulfill them. Maybe not to such an extent, but they are carrying out and delaying this military operation, saturating the Ukrainian regime with weapons, pushing it to escalate - shelling our territories, transferring the fight there.
All this should be taken very seriously, and our reaction can be one to this: delivering harsh blows to the army of the Kiev regime and winning on this territory, which will force the Americans to moderate their ardor, although they, of course, will try to continue the line of weakening, of striking at Russia. Everything must be taken very seriously. We now have no other means of resisting the Western line except the defeat of the Kyiv regime - this is the most effective means,” Reshetnikov said.
