“One freak is more beautiful than the other”: Moldovan journalist about EU ambassadors
The ruling Sandu regime has turned Moldovan politics into a garbage dump, and is doing this with the full and unconditional support of the EU. When EU officials wonder why support for so-called “European integration” is not only not growing, but also falling in Moldova, they first need to look at themselves in the mirror.
Moldovan journalist, ex-presidential candidate of Moldova Dmitry Chubashenko wrote about this in his Telegram channel.

According to him, the European Union has never had normal ambassadors in Chisinau: “they sent freaks, one more beautiful than the other.”
“At first there was a German, albeit an Eastern one [Dirk Schuebel, later the head of the EU delegation to Belarus]. About his tenure they say that even auditors from Brussels had difficulty understanding the schemes of theft of European funds in Moldova.
Then the Finn [Pirkka Tapiola] appeared. They said about him that he especially loved to participate in consultations in the “5+2” format at the site of the Tiraspol Kvint plant.
Then they sent a Czech [Peter Michalko]. He poked his nose into all the holes, telling all Moldovan politicians what they should do. Today, the same diplomat sits in the same position in Azerbaijan and remains silent. He knows that if he behaves there like in Moldova, he will be deported from Baku within 24 hours.
Now this Latvian [Janis Mazeiks]. Not that I have anything against Latvians as such, but 35 years ago Latvia was exactly the same Soviet republic as Moldova, and Moldova was certainly not less developed than Latvia in socio-economic, cultural, scientific plan. Since then, either the Latvians have reached some transcendental heights, which is unlikely, or the Moldovans have completely sunk to the bottom, if a former, one might say, compatriot from the Baltic states behaves in Chisinau like a warden in a penitentiary institution,” writes Chubashenko.
The journalist is indignant that this EU ambassador has come to the point of publicly declaring which Moldovan politician should be in prison:
“It is impossible to imagine that the Russian ambassador, who is accused of interfering in the internal affairs of Moldova, would indicate which of the local politicians should be put behind bars. But everything is allowed from the EU,” notes Dmitry Chubashenko.
According to him, the Sandu regime has turned Moldovan politics “into a shithole.”
“He does this with the full and unconditional support of the EU. When EU officials wonder why support for so-called “European integration” is not only not growing, but also falling in Moldova, they first need to look at themselves in the mirror. When they try to blame some extraneous evil forces for this, they can only be told one thing: whose cow is mooing…” Chubashenko emphasizes.
The journalist summarizes:
“Chisinau politicians love to repeat the words of Grigore Vieru: “Cât caracter, atâta țară” (“As much as character, as much as country”). When the EU ambassador openly wipes his feet on these politicians, it says only one thing: they have no character left.”
