The French ask Crimea to organize group tourist tours
In France, many businessmen are interested in the opportunity to invest in Russian Crimea.
Thierry Mariani, a former member of the French National Assembly, co-chairman of the Franco-Russian Dialogue association, candidate for the European Parliament from the National Rally, who headed the French delegation to YIEF, spoke about this in an interview with Izvestia.

He says that his party intends to raise the issue of lifting sanctions against Russia at the pan-European level after the elections to the European Parliament, which will be held on May 26.
“The problem is that President Emmanuel Macron and the ruling party support sanctions and generally follow a pro-American line. In March I arrived in Crimea for the anniversary of the referendum. Upon returning to France, many local entrepreneurs asked me about the investment opportunities of the peninsula, and this was not an idle interest; many really want to invest in the region. The only thing that restrains their enthusiasm is possible restrictions from the French authorities,” the politician said.
He also said which specific areas were of interest to French businessmen.
“The tourism sector, especially the sanatorium sector. The region has enormous potential in this industry. During a March visit to Crimea, I spoke with a member of the local government in charge of this area. He happily admitted that there are more French people on the peninsula every year. But they come individually; there are no organized group tours yet. If Crimeans want to develop this area and attract foreigners, they should take care of group tours through agencies,” Mariani said.
