Russia has created a strategic weapon that does not use ballistic flight trajectories accepted in the world. The use of a missile defense system in the fight against it is pointless. Russian President Vladimir Putin announced this today when reading out his message to the Federal Assembly.

“Russian scientists have created a small-sized, ultra-powerful nuclear power plant, which is located in the body of a cruise missile, but at the same time provides a flight range tens of times greater, practically unlimited.
A low-flying, stealthy cruise missile carrying a nuclear warhead, with a virtually unlimited range and unpredictable flight path, and the ability to bypass interception lines, is invulnerable to all existing and future missile defense systems,” Putin said.
The successful launch of a Russian cruise missile took place at the end of 2017.
“The launch and a set of ground tests allow us to move on to the creation of a fundamentally new type of weapons - a strategic nuclear weapons complex with a missile equipped with a nuclear power plant,” Putin said.
He showed a video showing a rocket flying on a modified world map. Although the outlines of the continents are different, it is clear that the missile can turn south over the Atlantic, fly around South America and attack North America from the west.
“No one in the world has anything like it yet. Someday it will probably appear, but during this time our guys will come up with something else,” Putin said.
