The EU is shocked: Biden goes to Europe to meet with Putin, not with Merkel and Macron

There is a complete stir in the EU against the backdrop of a possible meeting between the Russian and American presidents, where the leaders of the superpowers will agree on Ukraine.

German political scientist Alexander Rahr said this via video link from Germany on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Biden is trying to do some kind of split: on the one hand, to come to an agreement with Russia, on the other, to fight. In Europe, by the way, everyone is in great shock because, it turns out, Biden is going on his first voyage to Europe to meet with Putin, and not with Merkel, with Macron. People are clutching their heads, and the Ukrainian ambassador says, if you don’t take us into NATO [we will return our nuclear status].

There is a rush going on. Merkel is leaving, she is fighting the pandemic, she can’t cope, Le Pen overtook Macron in the ratings a long time ago, she also doesn’t know what to do. The Americans are returning: “We are the gendarmes here in Europe, Putin and I will negotiate about Ukraine. What kind of Normandy four, what kind of Minsk format? Screw you all!” Rahr summed up sarcastically.
