The EU faces collapse this year
It is likely that the European Union will exist until the end of this year in its current form.
Economist Mikhail Khazin stated this in an interview with Sputnik radio, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“We believed that there would be a euro currency area. Now it’s clear that it won’t happen. There will be no European Union, and no NATO. Of course, not January 2, but I am no longer confident that the European Union will exist in its current version until the end of 2024,” the economist said.
He predicts that the EU will initially split into an eastern part and a western part, to which Britain may return.
“How the USSR turned into the CIS, which is slowly dying. Now the same fate awaits the European Union. It is possible that at the first stage it will be divided into two parts. One part will be like the CIS - weakly associated. This is Eastern and Southern Europe. It will gradually roll back. And Western Europe in the original version of the European Union will somehow exist,” Khazin said.
The EU is at risk of collapsing this year.
